I have been coming to the North Georgia mountains since 1985. The natural beauty and peacefulness have kept me coming until my wife and I moved here in 2001. A native New Yorker who has lived in such diverse places as Massachusetts, California, Florida, and Japan, I have found this to be the place that feels most at home. I spent 26 years as a high school physics and chemistry teacher and also worked as a general contractor building custom homes in New York, California, and Florida. I built my home here in the mountains where I live with my wife—a speech pathologist—and our two labs.
North Georgia has a unique combination of clean air and water, friendly people, peace and solitude with easy access to modern services. I am excited about sharing this with people who would like to make this special place their home.
